“Education For All: Serving California’s Vulnerable Children” is the theme of this year’s EdSource symposium in partnership with the Learning Policy Institute.
The symposium is being held on October 5, 2017 at the Oakland Convention Center. I am looking forward to attending along with school and district leaders, school board members, parent and community advocates, lawmakers, policy experts and advocates from around the state. The list of speakers includes Carl Cohn, Oscar Cruz, Linda-Darling Hammond, Mike Kirst, Pedro Noguera and others education folks passionate about ensuring that all students succeed.
Big picture discussion includes: Serving vulnerable children, school climate and conditions, and schools and immigration.
For me, this is a “one-stop-shopping” experience to learn about what others are thinking right now about education policy in California.
